Treasure

When I call my daughter, I sometimes put “my treasure baby” before her name to show my abundant affection. Hearing this way of calling, my two years angel chuckled with glee and we could exchange warm feelings by snuggling up to each other. However, at the same time, this treasure is also the right child to be called as so-called “the terrible twos”

One night, she strongly rejected a diaper even thought I asked her to wear it again and again. After a futile negotiation, I gave up and let her run around the room with her lower body naked. I was so irritated with her stubbornness that I started to hold laundries in silence and pretended not to have any care for her.

My neglect put the oil on her fire.  As soon as I turned my back, my little devil took the last resort to attract my attention. When I turned back to her again, I saw a scene that my daughter sitting astride on a pile of bath towels which I had just finished holding. “Noooo ! You can’t do it here!” screamed I. However, her audacious smile and already soaked towels told me the fact that “Yes! She can!”

Indeed, she is my sweet baby but I feel it is sometimes really tough for me to treat with her as a treasure.
